Real People was established in 2001 with the aim of creating the operational capability of collecting on partial and non-performing consumer finance portfolios in South Africa.

Initially this capability was used with great success in the acquisition of partially and non-performing unsecured credit portfolios.

This core competence – to collect unsecured debt in the supposedly “higher risk” end of the market - has enabled us to take opportunities and diversify into a number of related areas of business, namely:
